Choose a photographer who is experienced with newborns. A good photographer will know how to handle and pose your baby safely and comfortably.
Book your photoshoot early. Newborn photoshoots are in high demand, so it's important to book yours early.
Let your photographer know if your baby has any special needs. If your baby has any medical conditions or is premature, be sure to let your photographer know so they can make any necessary accommodations.
Pack a bag for your baby. Be sure to pack diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and a feeding bottle.

I choose to have newborn session early morning. From my experience babies are more comfortable in the morning and the session is going smoothly earlier than later in the day when everyone is already tired.
Wear comfortable clothes. As I mentioned, sessions are long, you need to just rest during the session.
Be patient. Newborns can be unpredictable, so be patient and don't get discouraged if your baby doesn't cooperate right away. I
